Web & Print Designer - White Plains, NY
Department: eCommerce
Donald J Pliner has an exciting opportunity for an experienced web & print designer to deliver brand-right design that drives sales growth for eCommerce and retail stores. Conceive and create brand esthetic and marketing communication across website, e-mail, social media, direct mail communication, advertising and store signage. Collaborate with ecommerce, marketing and merchandising teams in the production of consistent and captivating brand messages and user experiences

Responsible for the design of: seasonal site concepts, home and landing page updates, email campaigns, digital advertising banners, social media collateral, mock ups for technical and functional site updates, direct mail layouts, print advertising, retail store signage and special projects.

Monitor competition and stay up to date with trends and new capabilities in the interactive space.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong sense of typography, layout, photography, and effective use of graphic materials to communicate messages to the consumer.
  • Must have expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign; working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Must be able to work within deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with a high level of excellence.
  • A good understanding of tools, current technology, trends, design principles and effective usability techniques and how they apply to the online retail fashion space.
  • Experience in/passion for fashion
  • A strong portfolio reflecting 3-6 years of web graphic design experience.

Retail Store Manager - San Jose, CA

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

Sales Generation:

  • Leads sales staff to meet sales goals
  • Analyze available sales reports and data to determine the needs of the business and set business strategies
  • Set individual sales goals for sales associates; ensuring goals reflect store business goals
  • Continuously motivate sales staff to meet assigned sales and productivity goals
  • Support the development of associates’ sales techniques; ensuring elevated level of service to maximize sales
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the merchandise; ensure selling staff is fluent in all aspects of product knowledge
  • Demonstrate sales leadership for staff by playing an active role on the selling floor
  • Collaborate with supervisor and marketing to identify marketing opportunities to support sales
  • Develop events/incentives that will continue to grow customer base, with particular emphasis on building local market

Customer Service:

  • Ensure all associates provide the highest level of customer service
  • Ensure staff maintains constant client communication through utilizing their client books
  • Ensure staff sends thank you notes as a follow up to each transaction
  • Manage client database and utilize information to increase sales and client contact
  • Resolve all client problems and complaints quickly and effectively
  • Assist sales associates with various customer service issues i.e. dissatisfied customers, returns, defective merchandise
  • Manage all special events inclusive of client events, sales events, center events, etc.

Operations:

  • Ensure proper facility maintenance, presentation and organization
  • Ensure cash control procedures are properly followed including bank deposits, drawer funds and petty cash
  • Control store expenses and maintain budgets; continually striving to reduce costs
  • Schedule associates to maintain adequate floor coverage while maintaining payroll budgets
  • Ensure deliveries are properly processed in a timely manner
  • Monitor the movement of all inventory and ensure that the staff adheres to all Shipping/Receiving policies and procedures
  • Meet inventory accuracy and shrink requirements
  • Ensure staff is trained in all areas of appropriate register functions
  • Understand and properly execute all management register functions
  • Support, promote and assume responsibility for loss prevention in all areas of risk management, physical security, store cash controls, inventory management, and inter-store communication
  • Build and maintain good communication with members of corporate office, mall office and other stores

Merchandise/Visual:

  • Implement and maintain all merchandising directives and ensure execution of effective merchandising strategies
  • Partner with logistics, product teams and supervisor to ensure appropriate assortment for the store
  • Ensure the selling floor is neat, clean, organized and reflects the correct visual image at all times
  • Identify and communicate product concerns in the timely manner
  • Communicate inventory needs to support the business goal

Human Resources:

  • Recruit, train and develop staff ensuring all positions are filled in a timely manner with qualified personnel
  • Support, implement and provide follow-up for all training programs, seminars, etc.
  • Continually evaluate the performance of each associate and provide constant feedback to ensure positive results
  • Resolve all human resources issues in a timely and effective manner, partnering with supervisor and HR when necessary
  • Ensure integrity of payroll and the payroll process
  • Ensure image and grooming standards are professional, reflective of the brand image at all times

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree a plus
  • 4+ years of store management experience in a specialty store environment.
  • Proficiency in computer programs used in the company including: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
  • Excellent sales and merchandising skills
  • Strong fashion sensibility
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with all team members and corporate partners

Sales Associate (Full Time) - San Jose, CA

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

Sales Experience:

  • Utilize elevated levels of sales and client service to maximize sale performance
  • After closing a sale, monitor all details including shipping and any special request to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Keen interest in fashion industry and market trends
  • Ability to share product knowledge with customers

Customer Service:

  • Maintain a client book
