Associate Account Executive (Full Time) - White Plains, NY

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • This role works closely with the Senior Account Executive (East and Midwest Territory).
  • Assistance in the planning and successful execution of sales presentations, customer appointments and tradeshows.
  • Communication and follow up with Independent Accounts on a daily basis.
  • Participate in preparation and attend Market Weeks/Trade Shows as necessary.
  • Key account visits as needed.
  • Special projects as needed

Donald J Pliner has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Designer for Donald J Pliner women’s footwear. The associate designer will assist in research, help create and design product line for Donald J Pliner women’s division.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist in building collection from conceptual sketches to final sales samples.
  • Assist in sketching collection based on the Line/Product Plan for each delivery.
  • Shop for inspirational designs each season.
  • Develop color palettes for each collection.
  • Some travel oversees to develop samples prior to each market.
  • Work with head designer to present collection to sales team.
  • Communicate daily with overseas suppliers on the status of sample development.
  • Work with sales team to monitor sales trends.
  • Manage sampling process.
  • Communicate with directly with overseas leather suppliers in Italy, Spain and Asia.
  • Assist in putting together tech. packs for sample development.
  • Develop and present seasonal trend packages.

  • 2-3 years of experience in footwear design is required.
  • College degree in design preferred.
  • Familiar with design development process and work directly with factories overseas.

Ecommerce Customer Care Representative - White Plains, NY

The eCommerce team seeks an ambitious, detail-oriented, dynamic, and customer-focused individual to join our rapidly expanding team. As a critical member of the Ecommerce Customer Care team, you will receive training to become an expert in providing service and support to Donald J Pliner customers via phone and email to ensure that they are retained, satisfied, and their needs are met.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

  • Provide extraordinary service to customers on an ongoing basis via phone and email to resolve issues.
  • Act as an advocate for customers and be understanding an empathetic in all interactions
  • Place orders with customers as necessary and answer questions about products and services
  • Quickly identify a customer’s problem, report it correctly, and provide customers with reasonable solutions per company policy.
  • Follow up with customers on any outstanding matters and provide additional assistance as needed.
  • Process returns, exchanges, and product repairs daily per company policy.
  • Ensure shipment of all eCommerce orders from both the distribution center and from stores while monitoring and processing declined orders, suspect orders and credit hold orders appropriately.
  • Assist in proactively reviewing website on an ongoing basis to ensure accuracy and functionality of products, inventory and product information, policies and features.
  • Consistently provide input from customer requests and team on ways to improve the customer journey online.
  • Assist in developing monthly reports.

Assistant Buyer - White Plains, NY

Donald J Pliner is seeking an innovative, energetic, and passionate team player to manage day to day logistics to ensure proper merchandising of six retail stores and web, including buying, planning, and allocating to maximize profitability of the chain.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

  • Assist with merchandising / product development and selection.
  • Compile weekly and monthly selling reports.
  • Design and execute allocation plans for all stores web.
  • Plan markdown and promotional cadence based on style selling and margin requirements.
  • Track delivery dates for product and monitor flow of merchandise.
  • Purchase goods based on fashion trends, prior selling, open to buy needs, and knowledge of customer.
  • Monitor inventory levels for each store and initiate inventory transfers to maximize sales.
  • Maintain POs and allocate and ship goods in Footworks.


  • Bachelor degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing or related discipline preferred.

  • Maintains payroll reports, timesheets, and the payroll system (ADP).
